1.7 seconds is very generous. It would probably go faster for everyone if people stayed in their seat until it was their turn to go.
Edit; Anymore I just sit in my seat and wait until the entire herd has moved well forward before I even stand up. One time a stewardess walked up and said to me, “I see you’re one of the smart ones”. I said I suppose it just doesn’t make sense to stand up before the jetway is even connected to the plane.
Kinda like yesterday coming off the water, this douchebag in a Malibu wake boat comes cruising past me headed towards the dock in the no wake zone throwing a decent sized wake just so he could get ahead of me. Pretty funny because I got to sit there and watch his doucheyness have to wait at the top of the ramp for a half hour while the circus played out.
