Just got this new bad boy! I have at least 2.5 acres of grass to cut and most is very bumpy and my back can handle the pounding. This one is a mean machine that rides like a caddy. Would like to get a bigger deck but i like going out my small gate. 3 mph faster than my old Husqvarna z248f which was a great mower but too punishing on my body.
Cleaned the old mower and it sold on Facebook Marketplace in 4 hours for $1800 cash. Couldn't believe it20250826_173405.jpg20250826_173414.jpg20250826_173442.jpg

People list 0 turns for crazy money. I've been keeping an eye out for a good used one. Seems the "good" ones are like $300 cheaper than a new one. I'd rather spend the money and get a new one at that price. Most people treat stuff like crap, so If I'm going to take a gamble on used I need some wiggle room to replace stuff. Nice unit!

The Husky z248f i sold was in very good shape, it had a lot of hours on it but the hours meter died when it was new but i mow every 4 days and i am on it 2.5 to 3 hours every time.
I just was flooded with responses on my ad and it was picked up from the first guy that came. Had it up for 2k and took $1800. New it goes for $3400. I had it 4 years

Watched the Starship launch last night via Youtube and captured some pretty sweet images.

Traffic jamb at the Colchester “Cut”. The old RR causeway between Colchester and S. Hero Island.

I got a custom dog tag for Shelby. Inspired by my Mustang that I bought here in Colombia.
I got brembo brakes to install, putting Motul 600 fluid, so all I need is some good track pads for when I hit the track.
We went to Cartagena for a weekend. I arrived there and it occurred to me that I can't go on a boat because of my recent back surgery. Maybe next time.
Today I found myself looking on facebook for a Yamaha 242 in New York. The ideas are bouncing in my head, someday sell everything in Colombia, buy a 242 cash, take a loan on a used RAM 1500 Limited. But then my friend reminds me that it costs $15 for an egg sandwich in NYC. I remember when it was $5 for a sandwich and a cAWfee (Long Island accent). Okay, maybe i'll stay here.

Nothing spectacular, but I'm at a standstill here. Had an extension cord with a 3-plug Y head finally start to give up the ghost, and I've been making these boxes as needed. I need WAGO wire connectors for these, as the extension cord is stranded, and I have to wire up the 2nd outlet in the box with solid, plus the WAGO's sit so much nicer in the box.

It's funny, the phone camera software erased the rest of the cord when I rotated the pic... I WISH I could have figured out a way to create a cordless extension cord! 😅

Nice mod. And why have I never heard of WAGO connectors before? I just ordered a bunch, and I don't even need them right now.

If I had to guess, it's your locale. They're UL rated, but they weren't code compliant in my area, as far as I know, until a good handful of years ago (maybe 5 years ago?)

My lake house neighbor, for instance, is an electrician from IL, but doesn't know how to deal with Romex, since all his work must be in conduit to be code-compliant. Similar scenario is (was?) some areas requiring copper for plumbing, no PVC allowed.

Makes for funny conversations with my neighbor - the licensed sparky needs a DIY clown's help to wire up some stuff! 😁

WAGO's allow easy connection of stranded and solid wire in the same box, which I often have when replacing light fixtures, and they're SO much easier to deal with than wire nuts or the other types of push-in wire nuts

Similar thing happens to me. I'm an electrical engineer in NYC designing some huge high rise buildings, private schools, etc. We're talking buildings with 500 apartments. Another 400ft high. A school with 1000+ students and 6 floors. A year ago I was given a single family townhome in NYC. 6 floor railroad style in manhattan. I was a bit confused where to start for the incoming service and meter. I can design buildings with 6x 4000AMP serrvice switches, but if you start asking me about code for household installations, I have to refer to the NEC and AI. Or I ask my brother

This will go up to 40 floors

@drewkaree You just described me. I moved to Texas a few years ago and had to learn how to work with Romex.

I dunno. Personally, I like driving except for rush hour, which I no longer have to do. I have no plans for paying for a feature I’m not going to use.

Jim
Well I’d like to try autodrive on our longer trips. When we go to see the kids / vacation we have 500 mi mostly interstate days. Let the computer drive, especially thru/around Atlanta.
