Hi there.
I recently inherited this boat.
It needed a starboard motor. I swapped the motor with a replacement.

Upon first startup, it seemed to stumble with throttle. If you're easy on it, it'll freely rev. But if you stab the throttle, it'll stumble and then rev, or it'll stall.

My gauges don't appear to work, but I ordered the cables for the Yamaha diagnostics and it showed a code 63 (incorrect intake air system signal). It wasn't an active code, but definitely last time I had it on the hose warming up for the first time.

It isn't clear to me what causes the code. I was sure it was going to be a throttle position sensor or MAP.

Any suggestions?

Dont chase your tail for no reason. Clear the code and run it again to see if it returns. Usually when you give an engine gas fast and it stumbles its a lack of fuel. You had old gas and fuel pump issues on other posts so unless that code returns, start with fuel supply

Thanks. If there wasn't a smoking gun, it was my plan to get a pressure gauge.
I have fresh gas and fresh pumps. Regulator is untested I suppose.

I guess I will swap the pump assemblies as a test.
