Can I add an in-line pump to improve pressure of spray? Will it work pulling water through jet? Does boat still need to be running? Thanks

Pretty sure you can add a pump but, you are going to have to put a Wye fitting so the OEM washdown can bypass the electric pump when you are using the stock system. You will also have to put a back flow preventer / check valve in the line going back to the starboard jet pump so when you turn on the electric pump it doesn’t try to push water back towards the jet pump. And no, I do not think it will need to be running. I’m thinking of doing the same thing in the future.
