2 years ago I purchased a 195 Scarab HO Impulse wake edition (3 ballasts) with 25 hours on it. In perfect condition! Have tried to generate a wave good enough to surf on continuously with full ballasts, people sitting in all different spots in the boat to no avail. Tried a couple different boards (Even got up on a 3'x2' skim board/plywood - was a funny thing to watch) and sometimes we can let go of the rope but one or two maneuvers and the wake is not large enough to carry a light or heavy person. Even tried a suction cup wake shaper hoping it would help but it didn't. Two summers paying with this. Just learned about the bolt on SurfStream (not sure if it's compatible with my 2016 model - will look tomorrow) Pretty sure this can't hurt (may work better than the suction cup unit) but wondering if anyone out there is having 'great success' at generating a nice surfable wake. I wish I had paid closer attention to the youtube vid that show a wake surfer carving it up on the 2016 195 HO impulse. He uses the words "full capacity with full ballasts".
