Battery recommendations

when going single battery, go deep cycle or at least hybrid. A deep cycle can handle the charging cycles and heavy drain better than a starting battery
Well if given the choice would deep cycle or hybrid be better?

Deep cycle. It's not like you are cranking over a car engine. Everyone has an opinion, but I have used a deep cycle for start and house in my yamaha for years.

Believe it or not, I did the same in my fishing boat, and that 40hp outboard needs more juice than these waverunner engines. They turn over easy.

I appreciate that. Enough people have said Deep Cycle is enough and I've been good with my Group 24 starting battery thus far, so I'm sure going to a Group 31 deep cycle will be fine.
