Curious if any of you has used flat rack intermodals for creek crossings? Family just purchased 54acres in the deep woods and we need to create a bridge crossing. Looking at this rough plan to start out. Open to any advice from someone that has used these flat containers.

Creek is a slow running 1’ deep most of the time, but during heavy rain it swells to 6’-7’ deep. Current banks are set 20’-25’ apart. We’re targeting raising bridge deck to clear 8’ height from creek bed to avoid swells.

I know nothing about bridge construction! But when I google "flat rack intermodal bridge construction", I only see one example of where this was done. I didn't dig very deeply though....

I did come across this company that makes modular bridges:

but I'll assume they are more expensive.....

It is amazing how varied our forum members are......perhaps we will have a bridge builder here?
