Content and Moderation for this section

Our goal in creating this sub forum is to make accurate information available about local dealers. We do not want this to become an anti dealer section of the forum. We recognize that members sometimes have issues with dealers and that those issues are more frequently discussed than positive experience. So I would ask everyone to tell us about your local dealers. We believe that knowing where dealers are and what they carry will be helpful to our community.

We want to keep the forum out of disputes with dealers so we will be more active in moderating in this section of the forum. If your experience with a dealer is negative please keep it factual.

Dealers are invited to create a thread, tell us what they offer and post their contact information here. We want dealer participation.

This will be interesting. But if you think about it, there are TONS of places on the internet where people review products, services, etc. You'd be hard pressed to find a big retail store that doesn't have reviews. Trip advisor covers all kinds of travel sites, Angies List covers all sorts of home services.

Our biggest challenge maybe moderating this. We'd love for Dealers to reply, but not sure if that will happen often.

I wonder if we should ask members to rate (1-10) each Dealer on various items..... "Time to Begin Work", "Price", "Quality", "Cleanliness", etc....

The great thing about the way we are running this is if we make a mistake, we discuss it and can adjust. No point in over analyzing things too much. If it becomes too much work, or generates too much controvery we can shut-r-down.
