I'm trying to find the port to connect BUDS but can't seem to locate. I found a port in the engine bay but it's not the same connection type for the BUDS SeaDoo kit I bought. Any help would be appreciated. I'll post pics.
I'm hoping the port I found in the engine bay is for something else because it doesn't match the port on the serial cable that came with the BUDS system. See pics.
Looks like this is it. Not the same port type. Am I right? Or is there a square-type diagnostic connector that matches the cable in the pic above somewhere else on the boat?
I have been talking to David from Candoo Pro for a solution for us Rotax owners to read/clear codes, restore and restart maintenance schedules, datalog, reset TPSs, and some minor coding. This system is also available for Yamaha boats.
I will be working with them to gather information, and send it to them like ecu codes, and maps so they can open up their system to the new family of Rotax powered jetboats.
This is great news for owners that like to do their maintenance themselves, or owners that live really far from their dealers.
Look at that picture in the linked post i sent above. On the right of that fuse box you see that white cap. It's that plug plugging into it at the bottom of it.
