I have a 2022 Yamaha 275SD. Unfortunately she doesn't get run much. The last 2 times I have taken her out, I have problems starting and keeping engine on. Once it actually stays cranked it takes about 15 minutes at full throttle to get the engine to perform and actually reach full rpm. Once I run it for that it finally opens up and performs normally. I would appreciate any help identifying the problem since I'm 5 hours away from nearest dealership. Thanks-Chris

How old is the fuel? Oil level okay? How many hours are on the boat? Change the spark plugs, simple to do and usually number one issue for performance unless you have something stuck in the pumps.

Well the bulk of fuel is over a year old. I keep fuel stabilizer in it and top it off each time we use it. These plugs only have 6 hours on them and total hours on boat is 16 hours. My first thought was spark plugs too. Waiting on them to come. Praying its not a fuel pump issue bc I'm sure the filters are probably a PIA to change.

Really bummer about your issue. You did not say if the boat is moored. If it is, might be a chance you have some water in the fuel and once you start moving and mixing up the fuel up it could be why it starts running better. Might be worth checking the fuel for water.
Hope this helps. Good luck on finding the issue.
