Does anyone a Garmin device? I really like the layout of the 741xs. I know it is over sized but that doesn't bother me at all.

If you have this or any other Garmin that has the card slots, have you tried the G2 vision card? Is it worth the money to upgrade? I like the auto guidance feature but according to other forums, it isn't as accurate as it should be.

Any advice is appreciated, as I will be deciding on a unit ASAP.

Thanks!

I have a Garmin 740s running LakeVu HD. I looked at the G2 vision, but couldn't justify it for where / how I boat. Overall, I really like the unit. After a little time playing around it's easy to use and seems very accurate. I'm able to do the different views, but mine is almost always split between the chart and sonar view. I've played around a little with plugging it in to the NMEA network to read engine data on the plotter and it looks very do-able.

I wish that I was able to add GPS info for places I'd like to see from home, so I've downloaded the Garmin Home Port, but haven't really played with it.

Here is an old picture of mine from when it was first installed. I'll see if I can find any with the Lake Vu screens.
