If you get an unsolicited message please notify an admin!

We occasionally have spammers and rip off artists that join the forum and rather than post their BS boats or stuff for sale, they privately message members attempting to sell them the boat or other items.

So if you get a message from someone trying to sell you a something, please report it if it looks suspicious (IE - he's not linking to a boat on the forum classifieds - he/she is linking to an outside boat).

Be especially careful if the message is from a new member. You can always contact an admin if you are concerned about a member-especially if they are a new member.

We did just have someone scammed out of $50....via a private message selling stuff via PayPal. So we are not immune to these assholes!

I agree, I have seen this from members that have no public posts. I have been contacted by members on this subject. Members should ask questions if they are contacted, PM'd by a new member with 0 public posts. We have a classified section for that, but that would be public. We, the forum, are pretty good at sorting them once public.
