Incredible water level change

26” water level change, no storm, nice calm evening! This location is a bay, on the mouth of St Louis River, about two miles from Lake Superior in Duluth Minnesota.

We had that dramatic of a change within a couple hours only once near the thumb of Michigan in Lake Huron.. Found out later there was a water spout out in the middle of lake no where near us but it sucked the water out around our place.

It's always interesting to me to see water changes like that based on weather.

New to Lake Erie here in Buffalo last summer. I've seen it twice now "blow the lake up" towards the city. Three days ago we had really high winds coming from the center of the lake. Lake level and waves rose high enough to break over the outer wall of the harbor. I think it's usually like 15ft high.
