Just getting started posting here. Looking forward to a wealth of information. Recently purchased a new 2017 Yamaha 242 LS E-series on a great end of season deal.
The dealer is keeping it warm and safe for a Spring 2018 delivery to us.
This forum looks like the absolute end all for information. Glad to be aboard and part of it all.
Thanks fellow jetboaters for being here should questions arise.
Only photo I have right now is my new toy still in the showroom.
Cheers,

Frank-

Hey Scottintexas,

We had a pontoon boat for the 2017 summer, but the wife wanted something with more water access at the transom. I had a Yamaha on my wish list for a few years, so when she saw the back end of the Yamaha, she was sold.
Off to the dealer we went, trading in the pontoon for the dream boat. We get it in the Spring of '18.

It will be boating the lakes of central Ontario ( Trent-Severn Lock system ) where we live on Sturgeon Lake in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. :-)

Thanks for the welcome. Have already been searching through the site. Ridiculous amount of awesome information here. My new hangout !!

@Frank Cairns Welcome, there is a great amount of information here. The swim platforms are great for hanging out on. Enjoy your new boat, after the ice goes out.;)

Welcome! I do most of my boating in Sarnia (Lake Huron), however we have wandered out to the Kawarthas annually for the last few years. Not sure how our summer will shape up this year: I bought a house with a pool:eek::confused::eek:

Beautiful boat, Congrats! Always loved the SE model with panels? Mind me asking how much it was with end of year sale? They knock off a few thousand? Thanks

Belated welcome aboard @Frank Cairns and congrats on the new boat. I like how you do things. Make it the "wife's idea" to get a new boat, then get one before she changes her mind. My wife had to "convince me" to buy our current boat too ;)
