Hey, new to forum, lots of good stuff posted here.
Had an issue pop up during last hurricane in Melbourne, FL area. Boat is at a high n dry, 3rd level up but apparently water was going sideways. Filled boat up to top of ski locker.
After draining boat, the battery did not work. Had it tested and 10 month old battery bad. New battery installed, now bilge & blower not working. Went over every fuse twice, connections clean with no corrosion.
The bilge was doing overtime during hurricane until battery died.
What could knock out both at same time? Thx!

Did you check the correct fuse box located in front of the driver inside the storage area? Many don't know there's a fuse box there.

No I did not. There is that compartment in front of steering wheel with that little hole. I would likely have to take the dash apart as I read a thread that explained that someone had a wire pop off the blower switch. Did not realize fuses r in there too. I was like, "what r the odds that both came loose when they both worked when i parked it?!"
I will need to check that. I have to take it to an island in Indian River Lagoon. Dealership sold me the boat and trailer, however I noticed after they dropped it off that there was no registration or bill of sale. So that means I have to take it to a dump to weigh it. Annoying. Going to be changing oil and plugs soon somewhere lol. My marina does not work on these motors at all.
Thx for the lead Luc.

I believe you can access the fuse box by literally looking through the side hatch and up. But I have the old version of the 165 which didn't make this very difficult. Either way, definitely check them all while you're at it. One of them is a diode for the navigation lights. It's longer than fuses. Don't touch that. If you plug it in backwards, your light will work opposite to what you want. Lol

Spark plugs are very very easy to change yourself if you want to do that. Happy to guide you if want some help.

Oil change is also pretty easy. But you do need a vacuum pump (manual one or electric).

Point is, if you want to learn to do the basics yourself and are willing to buy a few tools, it can be very convenient and save you lots of money by not paying for the dealership labour. But only do so if you actually are interested. I can totally get that some people prefer to through money at the problem. Lol

Thx for response. That is good news that u can see it from that little hole. When I bought it I saw a walk thru of this year boat and front opened like a seadoo. Maybe I will finally figure out issue with stereo, has not worked since I got it 1 yr ago lol
Had a Kawasaki 3 passenger jetski, have s9me exp with oil change. Picked up plugs, oil filter, AMs oil and the oil extractor will arrive Monday.
If something goes wrong I will reach out, thx

Had marina put boat in the water yesterday. Changed out plugs, oil and filter. Took a pic of the fuses box in that cubby hole under steering wheel. Had too much sweat in my eyes and too hot to mess with. Will look more next week.
My check engine light is on, so new plugs and oil did not clear it. It came on at 104 hrs, a week or so ago.
Cant wait to see if I have blown fuses in there.l

I didn't know you had a check engine light, you only spoke of your bilge pump and blower. Once you're able to check the fuses for those, make sure your switches have the LED light up on them when you manually activate them. Otherwise, there's still no power. If the light turns on, then power is there and the issues would likely be with the pump or blower accordingly.

Check engine lights are usually accompanied by fault codes. When there is an active code, in the settings, you'll see a fault code screen. Take note of that/those codes. They are very important to help diagnose your engine issue. But the check engine light won't light up due to a bilge pump or a blower issue. Completely separate systems. So you likely have a different issue with the engine I'm sorry to say.

NON active codes are a thing too. So say you had bad spark plugs, you may have gotten the classic P0300/301/302/303 codes which indicate misfires. If you then change the plugs, the active codes go away so you won't be able to see them in the settings anymore. BUT, your check engine light will remain on for a while.

Some issues will eventually clear the check engine light on its own, such as the misfire codes. It requires the engine to run a certain number of hours/cycles without any further issues. Eventually the light turns itself off in that case.

But some codes will not allow that to open even if they aren't active anymore. In that case, you need software to clear them.

It entirely depends on the code/issue.

Yep, did not mention at top because I think it was separate issue.
Check engine light came on a couple weeks ago, the possible fuse issue started months ago after the hurricane.

Starting to see that now lol.
Hopefully that fusebox will solve the blower, bilge and stereo not working. Thx
