So after several years of being patient, I finally pulled the trigger on a new car. Ever since Pontiac went away, I have foamed at the mouth at the G8 GXPs. I have never seen one in the wild and when they come up for sale, they are gone in an instant (at a very heathly price too).

So when the Chevy SS came out, I knew it was just a matter of time. I found one that the dealer wanted a better than fair price for it and jumped all over it. To my surprise, it was my lovely wife that pushed me to purchase the car.

Whomever came up with the idea of stuffing a 6.2L LS3 in these cars was a pure genius. It corners like a chettah and runs like a scalded ape. This car is definetly not for anybody that likes to wrap their arms around trees for long periods of time.

That's a sharp looking SS. I'll have to look up some more pics.

congrats

Very nice looking car!

Is that a single supercharged jet or twin ho jet?

I couldn't wait! When Pontiac was imploding they had 4 grand on the hood, 2 grand to the dealer and I had 3 grand in GM card money. I couldn't wait for the GXP. I just made my own!

I'm keeping this car forever. I love it. I'm sure the SS is just that much nicer! One of the best products GM puts out. You'll LOVE that car!

Nice! Congrats on your new ride.
