Has anybody installed underwater swim lights on their 190/192/195? I am thinking about getting the Aqua-Bright II Blue from West Marine (https://www.westmarine.com/buy/west...underwater-light-2-pack--14996219?recordNum=9) but am unsure how to wire them and ensure I won't have any leaks. Maybe I would be better off just having the dealer install them? If anyone has seen or can provide a write-up on installing and wiring underwater lights that would be awesome. I do HVAC so I can read schematics all day, just need a good place to start.

Although we don't typically bot after dark I have done some research on underwater lighting. Unfortunately we boat in lakes and rivers and the water is pretty brown. In our case that means don't even bother unless you are putting out 4,000 lumens. These would be 870 each so my concern would be that they wouldn't be as bright as you'd like.

Thanks for the advice, yeah I'm also on a lake although the waters decently clean. I'll try and find some around 2,000 a piece and see if it's still in my price range.

That's what made me decide NOT to do underwater lights; the price of the better lights. Like I said we don't boat after dark enough to make it worth the expense. I'd rather do a couple other projects first!

Here is what I did on my Yamaha, https://jetboaters.net/threads/coastal-night-lights-led-install.2525/ before I sold the boat.

On my new boat I did this, https://jetboaters.net/threads/what-color-underwater-led-lights-now-with-installation-details.12426/

In both installations I used a relay mounted near the battery to power the LED's, the dash mount switch just activated the relay.
These both look great, BUT, it brings me back to the cost benefit for me personally. Your first option was maybe $570 roughly, and second option $425? The lights in the original post are a two pack for $100.

A hundred bucks for a cool gadget upgrade I'm ok with but for $500 I'm gonna buy a Lilly Pad or Sea Dek the cockpit.

They do look super cool though!! Maybe on my next boat!!
