I have a 2019 212X with the original Yamaha wakeboard/surf combination racks. My wakeboards move around way too much when there’s a surfboard in the upper rack. I’d rather have a double surf rack on one side and a double board rack on the other side. Has anyone been able to get/replace the sideplates to swap from combination side plates to double surf or double board racks?
I’m open to other solutions as well. Seems like they could have drilled a hole through the middle tine and put retainer slots on both the upper and lower, so you could run one bungee across each board…maybe I’ll take this approach, if I can‘t swap side plates at a reasonable price.
