Would you like to have a photo gallery?

There are several photo gallery options available for our forum software.

I am uncertain how much it would be used, so would you like to see one on our forum?

The only reason I can see for having one is to facilitate home page features like a random gallery view, or most viewed pics. Not sure if that can be done with attachments or not. This forum software allows multi select uploads in posts, and drag and drop images or even take a photo on mobile, so I assume most photos will be attached to posts....

Links to Photobucket, etc. probably makes more sense from a hosting and cost perspective...

Our hosting is on a cloud server from DigitalOcean.com. Currently we have one processor, 30GB of SSD storage and 2TB of Transfer for $12 a month.

Based on the usage so far I am guessing that we can fit 100,000 posts and 10,000 photo gallery images. We can get more storage within hours when the need arises. If the photo gallery storage becomes a burden we could move it to spinning disk storage somewhere else.

I see the media photos and think it might be good to break that huge number of images into some kind of grouping. People photos, boat photos, place photos, optional equipment photos, towing things photos, etc. I'm just offering suggestions. Any way to break it down and make it easier to find things would be helpful.
