Yamaha 242XE 2016 Depth Finder Not Working

Hi, I just recently bought a 2016 Yamaha 242XE and the depth finder is just blinking 0.0 on the screen. I have the connext screen. Right before I bought the boat the owner had turned on the batteries and the key while he facetimed me to show me the boat. He forgot to turn it back off and it drained the one battery. We ran the boat and got it charged and everything worked besides the depth finder. Is there a reset that I need to do fix that? How do I check where the problem is? He said the depth finder was working fine before that. It occasionally would blink a 96' which is way deeper than where I was at. But it does not move up and down. Just stays blinking on that number. Any help would be appreciated!

How deep of water have you tested it in?

Probably around 80' or 90' at the deepest

Yes the water temp works

Doesn't have paint covering it on the hull?
