Not as much as I like my engine room space.@Beachbummer Don't you like the walkthrough though?
My personal opinion is that the current rear seat configuration in the 242 seems safer for those with small children (ie. kids younger than ~12) on board. This may be a judgment that lies more on the emotional side of the spectrum than the logical, but I’d be less comfortable with the walkthrough for my purposes.@Beachbummer Don't you like the walkthrough though?
True....just pointing out the benefits to some. happy boatingTo each their own sir! I always have somebody sitting there behind the driver on the back bench with their legs on the part that would now be a table.
Did you do the trademark search for Yamaha? That's usually where you can find these. SR has not been used since the two stroke days, what might that be? Except the SR line of cruisers being produced in Japan currently!I'll go out on a limb with my guesses on the 14 Models. What are your guesses?

What I think would be cool is to see them hang a couple outboards on the 275.
I would agree, single and offshore boat don't usually go together. I would say it's somewhere between 350 and 425hp. I don't think the 450 came in that shroud. I could be wrong. $50-$60K outboards are not in my pay grade. But watching the boat videos on YouTube showcasing a center console with Quint (5) 425 or 450 Racing motors does give me tingles!Single engine on that thing? I wonder how big of a motor that is.
Why would you put an outboard in a boat that size? So you could repower? Wouldn't an inboard be better and give you more space?
Lots of big cruisers coming with OB now. My next boat will absolutely be an outboard. Easier to work on, easier to repower (if I ever keep a boat that long), and most importantly for me, being able to take the running gear out of the water to slip in salt water to reduce maintenance compared to an I/O or inboard. Why would you put an outboard in a boat that size?
