Where's everyone going for MemDay?
We struggled to find and a place to take the Boat. Finally found a place on the Parker River.
RV and Boat combo vacation on the River Connected to Blue Water Casino....
Highlights from last years on the Yammie!!!

If you are in the area let me know, I will take you wake surfing!!!

On a boat. A really big one. It's called the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON.....I hear it's crazier than Havasu on Memorial Dayo_O

Greers Ferry Lake ARk. A four hour drive for me. I have a friend who moved there recently. This will be my second Memorial Day visit and is becoming a ritual. Am I taking the boat? Don't leave home without it. ......you all have a great Memorial Day weekend... Be safe and remember why we have this great holiday.

We steer clear of the river and especially Havasu on Memorial Day. Ever since I got that ticket the time my pasties fell off my wife doesn't want to go back when it's so busy.

Back in the day the sandbar got a wee bit crowded:

That is the weekend that we don't get on our Yamaha boat but we ride our other yamahas. We take our Banshee and rhino to my wifes grandparents farm in Vienna, Mo. Has a 5 acre pond and tons of riding trails. Always a good time with the family.

Thereyago! We are headed to the desert...which reminds me, I have to fix the float on my daughter's YZ125. It hasn't been ridden for two years. Looks like I'll be doing that tomorrow!

Still does! My favorite time of year :devilhorns:

Probably won't be out on Mem Day itself, due to fact that I have to fly out to NJ to visit a client for meetings Tues/Wed. However, if we go out that Sat or Sun it'll likely be our standard spots - ICW, barrier islands, etc. Looking to take a more serious cruise south this year to Edisto Island and beyond...maybe down to Savannah for an overnight with a dock! :)

We will be heading down to our place on Lake Oconee in GA that weekend. Have several friends coming in and out all weekend. It can't get here fast enough.

Marching Honor Guard.

"Never Forget"
Thanks for your service. I won't ever forget. I'm sure the honored won't either.

Headed to Lake Texoma as we do every year. I few fellow jetboaters will be joining us as well. Praying for lots of rain in the next two weeks.

We'll be on the Cape. Too cold for swimming but hope to get the boat out. Have to behave though will have my 20 month old grandson and possibly 2 month old grandaughter on board. It will only be a no wake speed day if they come. A least I'll get to try out the new Cobra Ultimates I just installed.

Crooked Creek campground @Lake Keowee SC .

Heading up do Da U.P. Dere Eh? (That's Yooper for "Going to Michigan's Upper Peninsula").

Normally I head up for a "quick" weekend in late May / early June to de-winterize Mom's cottage for her. This year, with weather and scheduling, it looks like it'll be Memorial Day weekend so we can all go as a a family. (Since the kids get an extra day off.)

As for the boat, she's still in "cold storage" mode. I've already been told this weekend is a yard-work weekend "...but maybe if we start early you can work on it after we're done." Yeah, like I'll have the energy left for that. (Been nursing a sore back since October. Finally told the doc about it at my physical. Started PT last week. Can't do a whole lot of "real work" in a day w/o being nearly crippled for a few hours the next day - but PT is definitely helping.)

The goal has always been to have the boat wet before Memorial Day, but I've been missing that for the last few years now. There's a good side to a late start this year though: We've got a trip to the Dells planned in August that has us staying in a place on Lake Petenwell in a big house we are renting with the in-laws. Gonna burn up a lot of gas that week (I HOPE) so it's best to have a light tooth with the gas money in the early part of the year.

Headed to Buggs island... hard to crowd that big ole lake..

Hitting the water. It's a choice between staying on land and dealing with the crazy out of town fruit pickers ( it will be harvest time and opening weekend for u- pick .) or the holiday boaters. I'd much rather be on the water.

We skip holiday weekends. Ah the advantages of being retired. We usually go out during the week.

But then you miss all the topless beach parties and let's not forget the entertainment at the ramps.
