UPDATED THIS SINCE WE HAVE A NEW MAP ADD ON <Edited by Admin Julian>

We have a member map available at https://jetboaters.net/membersmap/

It is a great way to find other members near you.

The map is automatically updated by via your IP address. So if you are on your phone, it may not located you to where you live. It USED to locate you from the location you entered your location in your profile. https://jetboaters.net/account/ but it no longer works this way.

Below is a screen shot of the current (2020) member map. We have noticed that at times some people don't show on the map. We aren't sure why....

Yes, it SAYS Redondo, but the map marker is away inland. I suppose it does that to throw off the NSA.

Hit the zoom in button and see if it puts you closer. It shows me in the St. Loius area but when you zoom in it gets more acurate

I noticed that too. I didn't want it to be "too" accurate, so I just put it in Lake Ray Roberts, and it showed me in one of three locations, two were not close enough...and when you zoom, it is where you are expecting it to be.

The tip of the anchor is its pin point, and yes, the more you zoom in, the more accurate it gets.

If you add your zipcode it pinpoints you better.

It's kinda lonely being the only member north of 40 degrees...need to recruit some northerners ASAP or I might have to move south!

The member map is awesome!! I don't know how much work it was to get it running behind the scenes initially, but to have it automated like this and update in real time is just awesome!! Great job guys!!!!

Heads up....if you add your zipcode it places you more accurately on the map. I noticed that there were 3 people in Raleigh, but that it only showed one anchor, so rather than "Raleigh, NC", I changed it to "Raleigh, NC 27614" and it placed a more accurate anchor for my location. Cool stuff!

I also notice that @Britboater listed two addresses in his profile. It doesn't show him in the UK. I haven't scoured the map in Fla. close enough to see if he is there, but I think adding two locations may confuse the map.

Just noticed I had no anchor - went and added my location, and there I am. I don't see Englechad on here - but before I got off the other board I didn't see him posting much anyway....I'll ping him on FB.

I'll have to see if I can find him - is he on FB?

We now have 5 Canadians! Don't forget, if you put in your zipcode it will place you more accurately on the map....

Like- Raleigh, NC 27614

The map is making it much easier to get regional meetings going! WOOT! :winkingthumbsup"

Yeah...it is way off when zoomed out! That or we have members living on their boats of the east coast of Florida! LOL

Yup. It takes a lot of zooming to get me back on the mainland.
