The Brand New 2017 Yamaha AR195 and SX195

On a side note I will be looking at stereo upgrade on the fall.. I want to hold off on tower speakers for now( I am 6’3 and want to avoid lower my head clearance)... what deck, amp, speakers did you go with and are you happy with it..
Dan I have not done an upgrade on my sound system yet but I plan on it soon. I'm set on JL Audio! Tower Speakers will be JL M880-ETXv3 with LED and sport grills. Powering them will be JL M700/5 5 channel marine amps. For now I will stay with the stock Polk speakers and radio. Down the road I will swap out the 4 Polk speakers and go with the JL MX650-CCX-SG-CLD-B - 6-1/2 marine speakers with LED lights with the sport grill. Looking at around $4,000.00 up. Wife not going to like that!!!!!!!!!!!! (why do you need that)LOL. You can always install the tower speakers on the side of the tower Dan. I personally like the look of the tower speakers on the sides of the tower.

If I could do it again, I would have mounted my tower speakers on the side of the tower to prevent hitting my head. My wife and I keep a running tally of how many times we hit our heads on the speakers.

Tower speakers on the sides are definitely more out of the way, but do cause issues if you want to raft up with another boat (like non moving board racks)

Never thought of that Julian! Good Point! I've already got my wakeboard rack smacked by a high ramp docking post when docking so I can imagine how pissed off I would be if it was an expensive tower speaker.

But trust me, I know what you mean about clocking one's head on the cans....I moved mine as far to the outside as I can (still below the tower) and I still clip them once in a while (like once per trip!) Fortunately they make them nicely rounded so they don't leave holes in my head!!! I wonder if those neoprene speaker covers help at all (they might dampen the "BONG" sound LOL).

I don't have any tower speakers, but have been looking at sound bars specifically for the fear of knocking my head on speakers.

to the last two posts:

I got the JL Audio tower speakers and JL Amp, it came with a little knob that is mounted right next to the marine audio heat unit and the USB/power outlet in the glove box and it controls the volume of the tower speakers.

I am fairly certain that allen head screw next to the gas cap is a breather for the gas tank

Hi Emery,
Do you have any pictures of you amp mounted and wiring? I want to wire this myself but been about 30 years since I put car stereos in my rides, lol. I took it took local radio place and they want ridiculous amount to hook up on amp and two wake tower speakers. I'm pretty sure the wring is not that complicated. If you had any pictures from back of your radio (guessing MA stock radio?) that would be super awesome. Thanks!

How do you guys clean your carpets? Been thinking about just un-snapping mine and throwing them in the washing machine then air drying them. Any thoughts?

That works. Snaps might eventually come off them tho. Just do low tumble.

My local car wash has free floor mat washing machines that would probably work well on this.

Aloha, so I just swapped out mines for the Stoltz 4”, first thing I noticed is that the center section was a little wider. But when I stalled it it fit snugly right between the posts with no play at all like a perfect fit. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. But I know it’s way better then the stock one. Plus it matches our boat Black and Orange lol.??

That sounds perfect! Those do not need to roll. Many here do a 5mph short stop to tuck the bow in, then tighten the stern tie down straps.

how should you winterize a 2018 yamaha ar195? i live up in new england and paid for it be winterized last year when i first bought it. ive done older jetskis before but i'm trying to see if theirs anything different with this boat and especially the water cooled pumps. thanks in advance.

Check out youtube and Leon Adler's videos. He has a great video. Also, pay attention to your trailer if you have one. Grease the bearings and give it a dunk in fresh water if it is in salt usually. Also silicone the winch and buckle buddies, etc.
