wash down pump for dock

I want to put some sort of washdown pump on my dock, for rinsing fish blood off the swim deck and that sort of thing. Would like to draw water from the lake, maybe filter it a bit.

I've got power to my dock. I'm looking for something pretty much plug and play, since I am no kind of electrician. It would be nice it it was portable so I could move it around if needed.

Looked at a lot of pumps, but have yet to see one that seems like what I need.

Has anyone else done this? Any suggestions?

Why filter it? If it is to wash off things, you will have to do some plumbing. You would not want to suck water in that you are washing dirty water back to, so the intake would have to be deep and preferable some distance away from point of use. I don't see a portable 110v pump working out too well but if you go to harbor freight, they have pumps that you can plumb in and easily hook up to power that are pressure activated so when you turn the hose on it senses pressure drop and turns on. Pretty basic.

Check into these Rule pumps. They clip on the battery posts and are great wash down and back up bilge pumps. They have a rechargeable battery unit but doesn't get good reviews. Look around for best pricing.

I used this on my dock to attach to my pressure washer. Worked really easy and you just plug it into an extension cord and go.

Punch a bunch of 1/2" to 3/4" holes in a 5 gallon bucket. Fill the bucket with filter material used for backyard ponds and drop in the pump. You'll have to pass the power plug and hose through a hole, but should filter out a lot of smaller debris that might get sucked through the pump.

Consider putting something like this together. A battery box and 3 gpm washdown pump kit from west marine along with a Pwc battery will run you about $200.
