Damn! Want to hear surf/ballast specifics. If we're talking 3-4k of ballast we may have ourselves a legitimate surf competitor.

"triple ballast tanks, the wake booster, and customization surf settings..."

So, a ski locker bag and two side bags, with a wakebooster that you still have to get into the water and attach, and a software button that auto fills to list the surf side. I'm hoping it's more than that, but I'm guessing that's exactly what it is.

Boy that step up from the swim platform looks pretty tall unless the picture is distorted.....otherwise I LOVE what i see.

The high freeboard (in looks anyway) could give it some serious ballast options........

step up doesnt look any taller than what we have to currently step over

Tower looks a bit odd. It appears that there's a nice positive securing latch to hold it up, but I don't like that the bottom isn't flush with the hull.

the ballast tanks could be bigger, wake booster(trim tabs?) may be something different than the add-on since it's mentioned prominently in the ad, and maybe the software is something like trim tabs or surf gate(which I know doesn't work on the current boats, maybe they figured something out?).

@seanmclean ....yeah, that tower bottom looks real odd and a hazard too. I's be having a custom plastic or metal cap made for that!

its... odd. wakebooster? I can see that for our old models but a brand new "surf" boat and still have to attach a doohickie?

Its cool but more of the same...bigger engines are nice but that fuel mileage will be terrible and only going from 47mph to 54mph. I really wish the drive system was in my 2019 but Its not a big deal. I do like the new swim deck layout. It looks much more modern and maybe even more functional. I am really interested in this automated wakebooster\surfpointe system through the touch screen. Wonder what that really is...The tower looks a little weird and bimini maybe smaller or the boat is just that much bigger than my 242x.

That's what I thought. Surf boats should be plug and play.

not a ton of seating room in the main area it appears... could just be view points of pics

I want to know what Yamaha calls this device? The finger mangler? The child pincer?

Exactly......i was hoping for a lower step-up/step down.......

My mother-in-law has a bad knee and any ammo i can use the sell the wife on a newer boat (vs older/used) would help my cause :)

Hard to tell in pictures but here is the 255 Scarab/seems lower (one of my other considerations):

This isn't a souped up civic. Adding 7 mph to a boat of this size, when it already outruns so many others in it's class is a big deal. As far as fuel mileage, that's not going to cross the mind of most of the buyers in this class either. But like many other forced induction boats, it will depend on how crazy you get with the "loud handles" It should cruise at a decent rate, but WFO will go through fuel like some folks go through toilet paper!

I can't wait to see one of these flying around some of the small 300-400 acre lakes around here. It is going to happen.

Those are the ones I put up on FB group. :-)
