Finally got our two fig trees planted
My father in law got the original from his grandparents house and has been proprogating it ever since IMG_6618.jpegIMG_6619.jpeg

Pulled the plug on the anchor locker…evidently a lot of rain water got in there…drying the anchor line and dock lines.

I miss boating, but this isn't too bad.
Considering to buy the rally seat (like a typical motocross seat)
It took a while to get adjusted to the boots and adjust the brake and shifter the way it works. I had a clutchless upshift while standing up and it sounded bad.. but seems okay.

We sold the boat that welcomed us into the jet boating world this morning. Sad to see it go because it’s been so reliable and provided so many good memories with the kids. I’m happy we took the leap with it and will continue making new memories with the new Yami boat!

Boating day -8, Bipolar weather.. not pictured was the first part of the day.. sunny and warm, then Tboomers rolled in, put on my rain gear and rubber boots, it rained hard for two hours with a bit of thunder and some lightning, then cleared up to no wind and sunny skies…took off the rain gear, went back to sneakers and enjoyed the rest of the day.

Saw Brit Floyd again last night (4th time seeing them)....what a great show they put on! And they tour the world every year...so Seats are relatively inexpensive. Our were 12th row center stage for under $100.

She's nearly ready to go! Put the new bearing buddies on with a tiny little bit of threadlocker. That should make sure these don't fling off. 20250516_103112.jpg20250516_104350.jpg
Can't wait to try this thing tomorrow. It was fairly cheap, so I took a gamble. We'll see if it sucks. I've spent $250 on dumber things before. 🤣

Cleaned and treated all the mats. These things were so dirty, but you couldn't really tell.

I bought a used set of rock tamer guards to help keep the gel coat chip damage to a minimum.., one of the bolts that tighten onto the hitch to secure it sheared off when I tried to adjust it so spent some quality time with a drill, easy outs, a chisel and a 10 x 1.50 tap. The easy outs didn’t work even after soaking the bolt (all the bolts) with Kroil, so had to use incrementally larger drill bits then a chisel to get the bolt out then run a tap through it. Thankfully there was enough material left to get a decent set of threads.

All the rest of the bolts had been assembled dry, not even some grease, frankly I’m amazed that the other three bolts came out. They’ll all get a healthy slathering of anti seize before re assembly. The used rock tamers were $165, new they’re almost $400. Now I’ll start thinking about making gel coat repairs.
