We purchased our 222SE in April 24. The last two times out I noticed a burning smell when we arrived at the ramp which is only 1.5 miles from where we store the boat. The trailer probably has less than 2000 miles on it.
I took it to a trailer repair shop, who indicated a caliper wasn't releasing.
Many of us have been told by dealers that they won't work on the trailers. I called Midwest Industries (the manufacture of Sholand'r) to see if the repair might be covered under warranty. I learned a couple of things. First when I told him that dealers won't work on the trailers, he said that he had heard that before, and that Yamaha's corporate agreement states that the dealers are supposed to service them. Second these trailers have a 1year warranty that covers only the coupler and the lights.
Even though my trailer is out of warranty by almost 4 months Midwest Industries agreed to pay to replace 2 calipers, a rotor and 2 hours labor.
