My son borrowed the boat (2020 Yamaha SX195) and he and his friend accidentally sucked up a rope attached to front of boat. It cracked the hull and is partially inside. 🤦🏼‍♀️ How bad is it? Anyone else had something like this repaired?

Ouch! That sucks!

It looks kinda bad but I think it’s totally fixable. I’m by no means an expert but I had my own mishap that freaked me out. I took it to a shop and a few days later it was back and looked like it never even happened. I suspect a good shop will be able to make easy work of this.

Probably the worst part is that the boat will be down during prime boating season. The next worst part is you can kiss $1,000 easy away. But you’re a boat owner, that’s nothing new.

Definitely looks bad but as @Cleveland Steamer said its fixable. Wouldn't use it till its fixed. Looks like either raw fiberglass or even deeper
