So I cleaned my bilge real good the other day and now I've noticed a slight leak. It's not much more than what you'd get checking your oil for a full day's worth of use, but still. Bought a leak dye kit, but looks to be coming out to the below bolt. The one that doesn't have red paint. Any idea what that is?

I believe that is the bolt that holds the anode inside the cooling jacket of the engine. The red bolt holds the anode and the other holds the bracket. Odd that oil would be leaking from there.IMG_0701rev1.jpgIMG_0751.JPGIMG_0761.JPG

Does that area see any oil or no? It's possible it's dripping down to that point. It isn't coming from the valve cover as that's dry as a bone. I need to put the dye in it and find out exactly.

I just don't know. The oil separator is located just to the left. Perhaps a hose on it?

Are these spider cracks common?

So I've run dye through this motor most of the summer and can't find a drop of oil anywhere but on that bottom bolt. I'd assume it's a blind threaded hole? Anywho pics to prove I'm not crazy. Replaced the anode anyways since it's cheap and put RTV around that bolt. If nothing else so the oil doesn't seap back in there and show where it's really coming from. Everywhere else is dry as a bone.
