2012 sx210 overheat warning

Did you have to remove exhaust manifold to change temperature sensor on the block?
You don’t have to remove the exhaust manifold, but changing the thermoswitch (#6 below) is a real PITA with the manifold in place.

The thermosensor (#4) is easier to get to.

If you are going this route, test the sensors once you remove them via the process outlined in the service manual. If they are in spec, then your issue is a blockage somewhere.

I also imagine if you remove the exhaust manifold, you would be able to see how the cooling passages look there, however I never went that route, and ultimately had a shop manually clean the cooling passages.
