2016 ar190 head change getting check engine light

Usually when you have that many codes and some are not pertaining to your engine, i would think ecu related but its very rare.
Can you monitor all the sensors and parameters with your scan software?
Does everything show up and work?
If so then i would think the ecu is working properly if some or most are not working then i would lean again to a ecu

On my scan tool, i can do some active tests like injector on/off, fuel pump, etc. And can see the sensors as well as things like lanyard switch and many other things that wont throw codes

I am using a Riva racing map tuner x. it is primarily used for re-flashing ecms to get more horsepower. I don't think it has a feature that can do that. Here is a picture of the maptuner

It sounds like the tuner isn't a double-duty machine. If its specs point out that it CAN be used as a code reader, then I would trust those codes. If it doesn't specifically point out the ability to do double duty, then I would question the results you're getting, as potentially untrustworthy.

It sure sounds like the cost difference of OEM vs aftermarket is being rapidly eaten away. Kenny Rogers may have been onto something
