While back i was looking a purchasing a prefect pass that was for a different model. Other forum members suggested that i wait and PP sometimes have a group buy in Feb. Anyone know if this coming up? A way to check?

I too am hoping for the same. Please let it be so.

Hey guys, is anyone interested in the group buy for Perfect Pass this February?

@JetBoatPilot - Count me in as a definite if you run it and would I imagine that the OP would be interested as well @dirksgoat ? I am also personally interested in an option that includes the gauge housing you developed for the 24 foot Connext boats like my 2016 242 LS. For those holding out to see if Yamaha makes an option to integrate this into Connext on non e/x series boats I do not recommend holding your breath. There is a lot of hardware added for them to do this that represents cost not to mention patent licensing they are most likely paying for. I attempted to make my own DIY perfect pass connected through the Connext system including making my own custom NMEA translator circuit board and software https://jetboaters.net/threads/diy-gps-speed-control-project.11103/#post-198253. Yes I got it to work. Work being a relative term in that the speed variation was so much that I scrapped the project. IMO Perfect Pass is worth every penny. Also IMO there aren't many businesses as good as JetBoatPilot out there.

Ok I am going to get permission from Perfect Pass to host the event. I will let you know asap if it is approved.

Watching... I would be interested.

Interested, thank you!

@dirksgoat - It sounds like @JetBoatPilot Is already going to seek authorization from the manufacturer/distributor and move foward if granted. From there I bet one of the admin/staff may run the popup/banner. The way these things usually go we will then want to get as many orders as possible to drive the price lower based on unit tiers.

Working on it now. We have approval, I am just trying to get the details settled. Should have them by the end of the day. We will likely do it similar to last year with the understanding that the price has gone up by $50 on both systems.
I will update you guys later today hopefully.

@dirksgoat, I would try to verify that whatever is inside those holes is solid. If so I would use a Spectrum Color kit to patch the fiberglass. If not you will need to repair the rot before closing them up.

This is your your chamce to do the repairs without the seadeck interfering. I recommend full on fiberglass / gelcoat repair. @Bruce is spot on as well with making sure you have a solid and dry substrate. There are others like @Glassman that I will refer you to as fiberglass repair is NOT my area of expertise. A dremel with a flex shaft may prove to be a very useful tool for prep and finish given the locations and damage you are dealing with.

My situation was unique in that my dealer did the seadek install before I ever saw the boat. If I had it to do over I would have gone with a 3m product given the proximity to the seadek. Better yet I would have removed all of the snaps, filled with spectrum color kit type product which is pretty much what the marinetex is and done the seadek myself.

Good luck.

Hey Guys, we got the approvals today for the group buy. I will start a separate post with all the details. The event will start officially on February 1st and will run for 30 days. If you'd like to get your name in the hat early just email me and I will get you in our system.

Good deal, thanks!
