2018 throttle sync button issue

Last weekend our new boat developed an issue with the throttle control sync button. It flashes randomly and shifts back and forth on its own while in neutral. It also does not always properly indicate whether the throttle(s) are in single or dual mode.

Anyone else experience this issue? If so how was it fixed?
