Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Thanks and yes I do love the color scheme of our boats. The lift is mine was basically a necessity as I will be boating in Barnegat Bay, NJ which is saltwater.
I’m in Ocean County NJ so out here that lift including permit survey for permit and electrical work ran approximately $14k. The company that installed it apparently designs their own lifts. Their website is: Jet Ski Lift | Cradle Boatlift | Point Pleasant, NJ
Love the boat! Welcome to the forum...a wealth of information!
Speaking of docking, would highly recommend a set of Thrust Vectors from @JetBoatPilot. I put a set of Thrust Vector X on my 242 and it made all the difference in the world when it comes to low speed handling. I went from dreading docking in the "ditch" for forklift pickup at the end of the day (I dry store my boat) to being confident I could put the boat anywhere I wanted it. Awesome mod and worth EVERY penny! Since you dock to the port or starboard side, I would also suggest looking at the reverse mod as well. Check them out on their site or videos on YouTube. Enjoy the great boat!

Next year I’ll definitely take a look at them. Inquired about the lateral thrust for my boat and was informed by JetBoatPilot that for 2019 Yamaha put their own version of it on the 2019 models.
Wanted to see how it was to steer without this year and will most likely get them for next season.
And yeah I’m currently dreading docking and embarking from my lift. Very tight quarters at my dock...
Also am definitely getting SeaDek without a doubt.
I couldn't agree with this more!! The Thrust Vectors made a decent improvement for me. However the big WOW factor came in with the Lateral Thrusters. They will come in very handy for docking applications.
They are a necessity for me to fight the local wind/current that we get down here.
The 2018s already have thrust vectors from factory, the new redesigned pumps is something I’m drooling over.
I would however consider fins for no wake, and with Cobras and Fangs which are my favorite you will feel like you are riding on rails in turns. Might even give you a boost in reverse with the Fangs albeit do not expect miracles there.
That lift is awesome! 14k seems super reasonable for something like that, we pay 8-10k typically for mere floating lifts here, the only option with floating river docks.

Cool! Didn't know the 2019 boats were so equipped. I just drool over the new boats from a distance!
SeaDek is awesome. I found the most beneficial add-ons were on either side of the anchor locker / front boarding ladder door. Having it there provides much needed traction to both elbows and feet when pulling up the anchor or on the off chance the kids use that ladder.

Yes, same as mine. I added two triangle SeaDek pieces to cover the bow areas to the left and right of the bow door (where the warning stickers are located) as well.
