Looking to add a 10 inch JL IB subwoofer to my existing setup. I will be running a mono amp with new wiring.

I had someone else do the install for the towers, and 6.5 speakers so I figured routing the wires should be no issue.

Will I need a Y adapter to run the remote turn on wire to the 2nd amp powering the sub? Do most people go IB with this setup?

What seems to be the best sub placement. Any other advice?

You can splice turn on wires together and then run a single wire directly to your head unit. My setup is a 300/1 and a 600/6 with a single turn on wire to a wetsounds wc-2

Great! Does anyone know if a ported box will fit in the cooler compartment ? It looks like the sealed Q bomb box will fit but I’d really like to go ported. Before I go looking for a custom box I wanted to see if anyone has used any 10 inch off the shelf ported boxes!

Do you have a AR240? Was there a 2nd set of RCA’s for the sub in the swim deck HU?

No I have an ar195 but added a swim deck controller from wetsounds that pairs nicely with my head unit.

my 2019 has a fusion ra70nsx swim deck head unit, should be the same as yours. it has 2 sub rca outs..

TY. Did you go IB or did you end up with an enclosure. I’d love to hear about your setup!

I’m still torn as to what to do for a box but it sounds like sealed is better for the elements it just won’t sound as good as ported

i put a kicker 10" IB on side of storage behind capt seat...i didn't want to take up any usable storage space with a box.
my inexpensive system..
mbquart 6ch amp to 6 - 6.5" kicker cabin speakers (added mid-cabins) 60w ea.
infinity 5ch amp to 2 - 6.5" kicker tower speakers 130w ea and 10" kicker sub 320w
happy with it, but may upgrade towers to 8" this season
