The seat on the left side appears to be removable but I'm not completely sure how it is attached.

Any ideas?

On my old SX210, it was just a bar and 2 bolts behind the fiberglass on port side wall.

On my '17 it is removable; but it'll take some effort to get there.

Have to unbolt the support bar from inside the port aft storage, and the forward port storage areas. Then there are two vertical bolts that are VERY hard to reach that hold the seat down to the port gunwale.

These two screws require some long arms, or small persons to get to:

This support isn't hard to reach for a normal size human:

This support can be reached easily as well through the forward storage door:

SO.....you'll need to remove the two screws in the gunwale (blue circle below), and the two supports (and bar) in red below.

Thanks guys, it looks like the juice ain't worth the squeeze here.

Thanks for this thread. Just found that my dealer never put the nuts on the backside of my bench seat

Doubt that's a dealer issue. Likely either not installed at factory or were loose and have rattled off.

Keep in mind boats are still hand built, so this kind of thing isn't particularly rare.

Alright, I won't scream at my dealer. Between all the spare materials I found under the motor, no hardware installed to catch the watersport tower from crashing, it's disappointing.

Here's an option - take the bolts and seat out and replace with some rare earth magnets so seat can be modified at will.

Sounds like you got a "Friday afternoon" or a "Tuesday after Memorial Day" build.

My boat was built pre-covid and delivered literally the week before the lockdowns happened. I still have to tighten nuts here and there - just a part of a platform taking abuse from weather, trailering, and waves.

Loctite can help.
