Batteries… Yam 195s

Did you leave it a group 24 cause that’s what was in there?
There’s definitely room for a larger battery in that compartment..
Yes I stayed with the group 24 size, didn't see any reason to go larger.

Again I have had zero issues with the radio running the Odyssey down to the point where the engine would not start.

I do keep the battery on a BatteryMINDer AGM Charger when parked.

Thank you for the info, I am likely going to go the AGM route and just keep the single battery.. I will definitely need an actual charger for that type.. I only have a little 1.5A Schumacher maintainer..

Appreciate everyone’s responses!!
Thinking AGM/single battery, haven’t fully decided yet but once I do I will post a few pics of the setup for the thread! 🤙🏻

Was just delivered, as it looks this sets up on the negative side. I assume wiring from - bus to load minus and then the battery minus to the obvious. I assume since I’m not using the aux or ve connection I can just tuck them away somewhere??

Actually edit, quite a few negatives setup on this and from what I’m seeing everything needs to be after.. I can’t just move all these negatives. Maybe set up another bus bar from the battery?

Any reason why the 500a vs the 300a?
How would one determine one over the other?
I thought I wanted to measure the starter motor amperage.. but I never did it. If I was to do it over I’d still buy the 500, there is no loss of resolution at the higher amperage one.

To monitor the battery I use the AntiGravity Bluetooth Battery Tracker PLUS

So far its provided all the data I was looking for.
