Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
I replaced my battery and now get the e reverse module error. I think the code is 4010. So I bought 4 relays and changed them. I still get the error. Any idea how to reset?
That error can be related to many symptoms sadly. Does your bucket actually move fully up and down with controls? Check. Some people have had the arm that controls it bend.
Is your new battery actually good? That's another common thing. Did you perform a load test on it?
The power for the electronic reverse module comes directly from the battery, mine via a 30-amp breaker. Make sure the power lead is connected to the battery and the breaker is not tripped. I recently had to replace the module due to the battery switch breaking and preventing the battery from charging. The voltage got really low and it fried the module. The new module came with the attached instructions. I purchased the B.U.D.S powerpack software a couple of years ago so I was able to diagnose the broken module, clear the fault codes, and install the new module.
