My little SE iPhone just isn’t capturing what I see

The kids and I are watching it through my welding helmet?

That’s taken through a #12 welding lens.. used that for TIG welding aluminum… darn clouds rolled in so I won’t be able to see the max in 15 mins…

Went and checked just in case and there was a thin spot in the clouds!

We were driving through the Bonneville Salt Flats on 80 and pulled into a rest stop just in time to catch it. Didn't have the right filters to use my good camera, but an iPhone does a pretty solid job of capturing it. Got lucky with the thin cloud cover. Could have been worse.
