Claire and I wanted a restaurant that offered Fine Dining with fine dining music. So we ate at home and we were not disappointed. Although we did not indulge in an appetizer or dessert, the entree was cooked to perfection. It was a prime ribeye cooked to 131 degrees and came with two small baked potatoes rubbed in EVOO with salt, pepper and paprika. In additions it also had mushrooms with a twist. They were marinated in balsamic vinegar and St. Elder Natural Elderflower Liqueur. The dinner was served with a fine wine from our wine collection. It was a 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon from the Robert Craig Winery which was decanted for an hour before serving. Claire said we will definitely return.

Pure grilling this time. I used my portable TEC infrared Cherokee Grill. It gets wicked hot over 500 degrees
Wow $1400 for one of those! I didn’t know there were portable grills like that out there.
Are you a professional chef or just really enjoy cooking?

i looked it up too, pretty cool. how many 1lb bottles per steak?

rabbit holed me to schwank infrared grills...portable (ish?) 1500deg broiler so no grease flare-ups..same price, but sev waay cheaper off-brands.

I am not a professional chef. I took up cooking and baking when I retired in 2006. I am basically self taught through cookbooks (I have a very large collection), various cooking forums and the CIA web site. I did not pay 1400 dollars however I have had mine for a few years. I took it with me camping. My wife says I have too many cooking tools to include grills. I only recently started using the TEK at home.
