my regular insurance company are quoting me $1000 per year with a $5000 deductible for a 2017 212x. Seems high to me????

Anyone got any suggestions for another quote.

I am just under $500 with GEICO, can't remember deductible but certainly not that high. I also have 3 cars and and an umbrella policy with them so multiple policy discounts apply. My boat is a 2015 212X.

I'm at $343 per year with State Farm, $500 deductible. Same as @eticket , multiple policies and discounts.

$1k/yr seems high compared to most.

Prices are going to vary due to a a variety of things. This is a lengthy insurance thread with many people chiming in what their premiums are. I went with BoatUS and my rate is $375/yr.

Hoy craziness...Go somewhere else for insurance.

My 09 232 Yamaha was $344 per year. My 17 242 Yamaha will be $434 with a $700 decuctible on their yacht policy. Both of these policies are through Boat US.

Always shop around, and don't trust quotes you get from online generic 800 lines....I got a similar quote from State Farm's 800 line...then my agent cut it in half!

My 2016 BoatUS policy was $396 agreed value 60k. I just got my renewal packet saying BoatUS policies are underwritten by Geico now and my premium went to $829. Screw them.

Geico has been the underwriter for BoatUS since 2015.

My BoatUS premium went down this year by $25 for a first year no claims award or whatever they call it. I'm at $356/yr.

To the OP, that's a terrible quote. The rest of us are going to have quotes all over the place based on the specifics of the policy. Agreed value is only part of the quote so posting a premium doesn't mean much without more detail, such as towing, trailer coverage, deductibles, water sports coverage, where and how it's stored, geography, etc., and in some cases credit score. I shopped several major insurers and Geico was cheapest for me.
