I have a 2024 222XD with factory 9 speaker wetsounds system. I'm in the process of installing some RGB lighting to all speakers (and possibly underwater lights in the future) using a Shadow-Caster multizone RGB controller. This controller has a 3.5mm jack for audio input in order to sync music with lighting. What would be the best way to to tap into an audio input source so I can utilize this feature? Thanks

You will need a 3.5 to RCA like this https://a.co/d/emVHa60. Our harness isn’t really designed with this in mind but would work in this application. Yamaha 2018-2025 222/242/252/255 Amplifier Integration Harness This would be the easiest solution.

Alternatively you could use the Amazon cable paired with RCA to speaker wires and splice into the factory wiring. https://a.co/d/6krdnmw
Thanks for the info. I think I may use a cable and splice into factory harness but I’m a little uncertain the preferred wires I should use. Here’s a wiring diagram I found online, should I tap into the +CH1- wires on the middle 8 pin connector?

I’m assuming the left 14 pin connector is speaker outputs; middle 8 pin connector is amp input for zone 1-4? What’s the right side 4 pin connector (+CH5- & +CH6-) used for?

14 pin is input. Input wires are standard wiring colors so pretty simple. Use a military splice and you’ll be golden. Middle is speaker output right is subwoofer output.
