My 2017 Yamaha 242X

Finally got my 2017 242X and time to get started and all ready for the season. I will use this thread to show it's progression from delivery through all its mods.

I'm going to do the usual upgrades:
- JL Audio complete upgrade
- Tinting
- Riva Spacers
- High altitude impellers
- Trailer wheels, blacked out fenders

The tint is worth it for Aesthetics, and it actually has a good function to.

Did you upgrade your amps? How about the stock Wetsounds Stealth 10 soundbar? I have a '17 242x am considering upgrading the stock amps (or adding a dedicated amp for the soundbar).

No I kept the stock amps. I added a amp for the additional sub though. The sound bar has a built in amp from what I understand.

Check out "ribbon delete" mod - the RIVA spacer replaces the ribbon in the air intake. Probably not necessary to use the spacer but it does not cost much and may reduce turbulence - for better air flow.

The sound bar has a built in amp from what I understand.

The sound bar doesn't have its own amp....it runs off the polk amps. Do you ever have the amps cut out?

I like that tint job! And those JL tower speakers look great! How much for the new speakers?

Amps cut out??? I had a bad Aux battery that kept throwing my amps into protection mode... Replaced the battery and everything works great!
