New Auto Launch feature now available for Ridesteady owners

Hey! Just thought I'd see if anyone had further reviews on the auto launch feature. Is it as great as it sounds?

Yes it’s worth whatever the upgrade costs if you do water sports. The boat launches consistently every time no matter who is driving and it’s very adjustable.

I'll add to this: 2021 AR190 with RideSteady with the Auto Launch.

Very helpful feature and glad I got it. No more teaching people how to feather the throttle as to not "Jet Blast" the surfer/wakeboarder. I had to play a little bit with the settings once I originally set it up since I set it up with less weight than I use it for surfing. If you want a consistent pull without thinking about it, cavitation, or anything else, do it!

Putting the boat in the water in about 1.5 hours here in Wisconsin on a nice 82f day. Auto Launch was amazing with my old OEM impellers and I'm guessing with the additional hole-shot from the twin-screw solarus impellers, I'm going to have to re-adjust.

Thanks much for the candid feedback, @Rinker2Yamaha24 !

Interesting. Hard to say, but I'd be curious if any re-adjustment is necessary.

Please let us know how that all works.

Don’t want to hijack this so I’ll have to dig up your impeller upgrade if it’s on here somewhere.

I need to get my CPU installed and get it set up. Hopefully next week some time.

FYI, doesn't appear I'll need to adjust anything with the Auto Launch, worked just fine with the new twin impellers.

Was it hard to setup? Read the instructions the first time and I feel like I need to read them a couple more times.

I thought for sure this wasn't a needed upgrade. However, after either about getting my arms yanked off or shouting to speed up to my wife, I think this may be an off season upgrade. So quick clarifying question, when using the auto launch do you push the throttles all the way forward? I envision it would be tough to try and control without it being all the way forward. Just curious.
It's kinda funny seeing my post in here now after getting auto launch, setting it up, and finally being able to use it. We use to go out on the boat all weekend long. We'd start out Friday evenings, then all day Saturday, and then Sundays after church even. Now it's like pulling teeth to get my wife to go out. Finally asked her what changed cause it sure as hell wasn't me getting her out there every weekend before when we had the old boat. She said it just turned out to be stressful. First it was covid and trying to launch the boat with 989129090128091231 people all pissed off and antsy. Then she felt I yelled at her while trying to pull me surfing and stuff. Which I honestly thought I was trying to help. However, when you're in the water you kinda have to yell to be heard, I wasn't yelling at her per se, just yelling in her direction so she could hear. Well this time we went out I said aight I'm taking the boards, I know you don't really like it, but let's try out the auto launch. It was absolutely AMAZING! I've never had anything pull me up so perfectly. Even my buddy who has years and years of boating experience will sometimes jam the throttles too hard and blast me in the face with the jets. This was hands down the best pull up I've ever experienced in ANY boat I've been on. It was SOOOOOO smooth. I don't think I could pull up someone that linear and smoothly even with all my years of experience. We get home and my wife is so happy. She said that felt like old times, no stress, and everyone having a good time. She's asking me what day we're taking the boat out this weekend. Before it was always like ok, I know you want to go out, what day are you going to punish me by going out. Talk about a marriage saver. I know my buddy gives me shit when I use technology as a "crutch", but dang if this isn't a better driver than me and him combined.

Maybe the feature should be renamed "Wife Throttle"

Your experience sounds like mine! I'm pulling my daughter a lot more on the wakeboard and it's sooo nice just to push the throttles forward and not worry about how she pops out. Gives me more brain power to concentrate on driving.

It's amazing how awesome it is. On the old boat my wife could get up on the surf board. On this one she won't even try. I bet not only could I get her to try with auto launch I bet she'd get up first shot. I think it turned into one of those things that I loved, that she hated, that she won't even attempt it anymore.

That's such an awesome, inspiring story for us at Hydrophase to hear. That's really precisely what we're in business to do: Not to make technology for technology's sake, but technology as a tool to make life easier / better on the water.

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Man, the Ridesteady really is the #1 thing I put on the boat. Between not getting yo-yo’d around on the boards and having the throttle’s synch’d on the cheaper models it made ALL of us happier with the boat. You’ve developed such a great product.

Thanks so much for the kind words, @YoDaddy292 !!
