Headed to oak island with the family for about 5 days. Plan on taking the boat... any must see/do down there??

When we were in Wrightsville, we enjoyed a trip up the Cape Fear river to downtown Wilmington. We found a dock to anchor at while we had lunch (that wasn't easy) and looking at the Battleship from the water was interesting. Just make sure you watch for the channel markers and/or have a good plotter....

That sounds cool! Where did you put in?

Still looking for a good plotter. I’m good with following channel markers. Any suggestions for a good plotter around 500 or less? I don’t need the fish finder capibilities

We used to put in at Scotts Marina, but they went private and we haven't gone down there since they did.

I'd just load Navionics on your phone or a tablet for a short trip like this. Just make sure you have a holder for it so your hands are free.
