Trying to install my lateral thrusters on my new sx190. Removed the snap ring and the bolt off the rudder but can’t get the shaft in the articulated keel to release.. only got it down about 1/8”.

Any help is appreciated
I can't help much, but just be careful not to get too forceful with the rudder/AK - it is made of some weird alloy and relatively easy to break.

Pulling the back apart now.. thanks

Yep that's what I was going to do. Call tomorrow if you can't get it loose. 850-867-1410

[USERGROUP=9]@HELP[/USERGROUP] had the stereo off and was on beach all day. Motor wont turn over all the way to start. Just need a jumper box? Any other options?

Check terminals on batteries Crank tight

So my 18 month old pulled the lanyard, my wife put it back in and appeared to be on all the way. Had to use knife to lift it higher then set back on the lanyard and it started fine :/

Towing another boat with AR190...

Ok to do it? Similar sized boat; have a few miles to go. How fast is ok? Would like to get them back before dark...

Not used to driving slow; normal to see steam/exhaust at swim deck? ~5mph...

Other boat a non jet boat? If jet, either go no wake speed only or have them clamp off water intake hose(s).

How are you towing them? Side by side or pulling with a line behind you and connected how? Lots of stress on any cleat but varies depending on the waves that you are crossing

Non-jet; brothers 19’ v Hull. Calm lake, with no tow service.

Would love to get up to 12mph if it would be safe for my boat/engine...

They are responsible for their boat; go as fast as you feel comfortable. spread the load if possible across 2 cleats. it's not a speed issue for me but rather a load issue. watch out if going above no wake if its rough water. Dynamic load is what will break your boat.

Have him trim all the way up if possible to reduce drag. While the tendency to go as quickly as possible to get back before dark, the primary goal is to get back. I wouldn't put too much strain on the boat by trying to go above no-wake mode (especially on a single engine).

it won't hurt your engine but could hurt where you have the other boat tied off too. I'd use the trailer tie down points if possible.

I would use the trailer tie down points to tow. All passengers in your boat except maybe one. Keep people looking forward and in bow if possible. Lines can snap and hurt people
In either boat. Go slow. Take your time.

Yes, especially under load.

Go slow. It's not worth hurting your boat or making things uncomfortable for either parties in the boats. It's not a race. Yes towing sucks but best to do it slow and safely.
