Orange illumination wire on Sony stereo?

I bought an aftermarket Sony stereo head unit for my 14 AR240. While all the other colored wires on the Sony matched my stock Clarion, the Sony has an orange illumination wire. Anyone know where to tie this into or just leave it unplugged? Also, any way to get the stock clarion swim deck remote to work on the Sony head unit?

The orange wire isn't needed, it usually wires into a vehicle's headlights and when they are on the receiver will dim do you aren't blinded. The Sony won't work with the Clarion remote, there is a cable that runs between the 2 that's proprietary. You will need a Clarion marine reciever to work with the stern remote.

Thanks for the help. Got the radio in and works great. Guess I’ll have to find a Sony remote for the swim deck and cord. Thanks again!
