My dealer said no more than 2 minutes to prevent engine overheating,
what is your experience ?

Absolutely. It's also officially in the operator manual. Please read the BRP manual not the Scarab one. You will learn tons. Frankly, 2 min is not necessary. You can do it in under a min easily.

And it's not the engine that overheats, it's the carbon seal which is only cooled when the boat is sitting in water. The flush port does not cool it. It cools the exhaust.

Also, engine on, water pressure on, water pressure off and engine off, in THAT specific order. Otherwise you risk flooding your engine. Also in the manual.

Thank you so much, for the informations.;)
I got no information from Scarab except: " refer to the engine manual " not provided .
I will reduce my flushing time :inpain:.

If you suck up an object, a word of warning, do NOT try to remove the intake grate. Post again if that ever happens to you. Try to avoid it in the first place. The grate looks removable but isn't. And sadly, this is a very similar story when dealers sell their boats. If you genuinely read that manual, you'll save yourself tons of future pain.

In the same idea: today I blow out the water from my exhaust system with a compressor.
I used the flushing port, the among of water was quite low...
