To add to Davids excellent points I think the OP was using these to prevent physical damage to the interior of the compartment. These SSI units are very nice for this purpose. PolyPlaner also make a set as well that will handle just about all the JL line as well as others.

On another note, just got my Bimini Fling shirts.....they look awesome.
